Every Apple Design Ever (ish) in 30 seconds
Hey Instagram, I don’t care how many “hip new filters” you added or how “web 3.0” your interface looks when your damn app is riddled with more bugs than the day you released it!
I can’t believe this release made it out the door. I am not happy.
I tried three times to post a picture with a filter and tiltshift applied, and all it posts to my Tumblr feed is a giant blue square with no image. I think the culprit here is the new tiltshift mechanism. Because I just posted two other images to Tumblr fine with no issues, but they were not using tiltshift.
Not to mention, the app randomly crashed on me TWICE in 5 minutes while I was editing photos and all my work was completely lost.
Every time I try to post my picture, the post fails and I have to hit refresh like 5 times for it to register and post the picture.
And lastly, I love your new filter gallery but I HATE that entire bar at the top of the app. None of the icons make sense, I have no idea what they do, nothing is labeled, and I have no idea why you chose to flash things on the screen when making a selection.
So, I am not an Apple developer nor do I have iOS5, but I do own an iPhone on AT&T’s network which means I am able to take part in the iCloud Beta from Apple for iTunes. (Sorry VZ users, you have to wait until the Fall.)
One of the cool features about iCloud is that if you download a song, app, or book to your music library from the iTunes store, then it will then be “pushed” or downloaded to all of your mobile devices. Seamlessly, and without any cables.
My current settings in the Store section within the Settings app.
I can’t tell you how both confusing and satisfying it is to hear a song play on your iPhone that you are 100% sure you didn’t have a chance to sync to your phone yet.
I am like “Hey wait, I don’t need to worry about that anymore!”
Then I ripped a CD to my music library, and my excitement was kicked square in the balls after I realized the same magic that worked for purchased iTunes songs will not work for songs you find from other sources. It’s really upsetting because the “iTunes Way” of syncing media is extremely addicting. It’s actually making me buy from the store more just so the music will wirelessly and automatically sync to all my devices for me.
Ah well. Luckily, 95% of new music I acquire these days is from the iTunes store. So, I think I will find myself very happy with this service more often than not.
P.S. I have apps and books shut off because my GF and I share accounts and apps so only one of us has to buy something. But I don’t always want all the things she is buying on her phone, so I manually sync apps. (she tends to forget to sign out of my account a lot. Good thing she only downloads free apps, haha)

I NEEEEED IT!!!! Man, I would have so much fun with this. Not to mention, I would have so much fun viewing other people’s 360 movies! This could be an awesome social network. Call it “360” and share and view each other’s videos. I see a lot of potential here…
