And when you re-open the application, it brings you back to the exact point in a document where you last left it.</p> <p>However, when browsing the web, this can be quite annoying. If you close Safari with 10 tabs left open, then they will all immediately re-open when you start up Safari again.</p> <p>To get around this, quit Safari in Mac OS Lion by pressing press cmd + option + Q instead of cmd + Q. This will quit the application and close all tabs.</p> <p>When you re-open Safari, you are only left with whatever your default setting is for opening a new window. I have mine set to &#8220;Open a blank page&#8221; so that is what I get when I open Safari. </p> <p>Much better!!
